Privacy policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to the EyeRhythm-Lite Mac app and the product website at eye-care-lite.quietware.app. EyeRhythm-Lite is a general wellness and productivity utility, not a medical device.

2. Information stored on your Mac

EyeRhythm-Lite stores your reminder preferences and local usage statistics in the app’s sandboxed storage. This includes settings such as break interval, break duration, advance notice, notifications, sound, health tips, and Eye Guardian behavior, plus daily active time and completed or ended breaks.

The app reads local system activity timing only to determine active and idle time for reminders. It does not record keystrokes, mouse contents, screen contents, documents, app names, websites, or browsing history.

3. Information we do not collect

EyeRhythm-Lite has no account system, advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, cloud synchronization service, telemetry service, or custom backend. We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal data from the app.

4. Notifications and permissions

The app may ask for macOS notification permission to show local advance and completion reminders. Notification permission is optional and can be disabled in EyeRhythm-Lite Preferences or System Settings.

EyeRhythm-Lite does not request Accessibility, Input Monitoring, administrator or root access, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, or photo-library permission.

5. App Store purchases

Beginning with version 1.1, trial activation and Full Unlock are processed by Apple through StoreKit. EyeRhythm-Lite verifies Apple-signed transaction information, such as the product identifier, transaction status, and original purchase date, to determine access on your Mac. The app does not receive or store your payment-card details.

Purchase and Apple Account information is handled under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. EyeRhythm-Lite does not send StoreKit transaction data to a developer-operated server.

6. Website privacy

This website does not use accounts, contact forms, advertising pixels, third-party analytics, or cookies. English and Chinese are available at separate URLs. Language links work without JavaScript, and the site does not store a language preference. Cloudflare hosts the site and may process standard request information, such as IP address and browser details, to deliver and protect the service under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

7. Retention, deletion, and your choices

Local preferences and statistics remain on your Mac until you remove the app’s stored data using macOS storage behavior. You can turn notifications off at any time. Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer and track the request; you may ask us to delete your support correspondence.

8. Changes and contact

If EyeRhythm-Lite’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the relevant release. For privacy questions or deletion requests concerning support correspondence, email support@quietware.app.
